Clifton Public Schools - Preschool Programs

The Clifton Public School District offers three different Preschool Programs:

  1. Preschool for the Special Needs Child
  2. Federally Funded Preschool Program
  3. Community Preschool Program

Preschool for the Special Needs Child:

Do you have special concerns about your childs development?

Clifton Public Schools provides a free preschool program to assist children, ages 3-5, residing in Clifton who have special needs, such as:

  • Delayed Speech and/or language
  • Visual and hearing impairment
  • Delayed motor development
  • Emotional or behavioral problems
  • General learning problems

Federally Funded Preschool Program:

Clifton Public Schools offers free Full-Day Preschool to Qualifying 4 Year Olds.

Please go to our Federally Funded Preschool webpage for important information regarding the program and the eligibility requirements. There are limited spots available. Qualified applicants can call
973-778-0305 to receive further information.

Community Preschool Program:

We are now accepting applications for the Clifton Public Schools’ Community Preschool Program located at School # 14. In collaboration with the Center for Family Resources (Head Start), the registration process for next years’ Community Preschool for students who reach the ages of 3 or 4 on or before October 1 has begun.

Tuition for the program is $430 per month for full day (9:00AM to 3:00PM) and $215 per month for half-day (9:00 AM to 11:30AM or 12:30AM to 3:00 PM)

Applications are available in the main office at School #14 or the Board of Education Building,
745 Clifton Avenue, Clifton.
