Welcome to Christopher Columbus Middle School!

Christopher Columbus Middle School, located on Piaget Avenue in Clifton, is one of the 2 Middle Schools in the Clifton School District. CCMS has a long standing tradition of academic excellence, with a strong focus on building the skills necessary to move forward in the student’s educational career.
All students at CCMS are members of one of our academic teams: The Nina, The Pinta or the Santa Maria. These teams are designed to provide the academic support essential for all students at this critical age of development. As our students move forward in their educational journey, it is our goal to enhance their existing knowledge and provide the skills for learning they can take with them to the High School.
We offer an extensive afterschool tutoring program as well as Saturday Academy, to assist those students who may need extra help in particular academic areas.
In addition, we offer a variety of clubs that encompass all areas including academic, athletic and extracurricular. Our students have a vested interest in their community dedicating many hours to helping those around them in need.

SPIRIT DAY!! As you know, within the block schedule are days are identified as “A, B,C,D” days. “C” Spirit Days are the first “C” day of each month and a day to celebrate CCMS School Spirit! Students are encouraged to wear Clifton Colors, CCMS shirts or Clifton Mustang Sports apparel.  All clothes must be dress code appropriate.  Staff members also participate on these school spirit days.
