Clifton AD Receives Prestigious Award
Clifton Public Schools is pleased to announce that Athletic Director Tom Mullahey has been named DAANJ Sectional Award of Merit Recipient representing the North I Section.
A letter from David G. Frazier, CMAA Sectional Award of Merit Selection Committee, Chair DAANJ, stated, "Your school district and community should be very proud of this prestigious honor. Mr. Mullahey's outstanding achievements, dedication to student-athletes, and professionalism throughout his career as an Athletic Administrator have led to this acknowledgment by the Directors of Athletics Association of New Jersey (DAANJ)."
Mullahey, who is in his ninth year as Clifton's Athletic Director, is committed to supporting the coaches and student-athletes in every capacity.
"Our priority is always to compete on a high level and maintain a high standard of sportsmanship. Our athletes and coaches continue to challenge themselves day in and day out. The results of their hard work and dedication can be found in the success we have on and off the field," commented Mullahey.
"The successes that our student-athletes and coaches have achieved is the direct result of having Tom at the helm of the Athletics Department," stated Clifton Superintendent Dr. Robertozzi. "His professionalism and leadership in Clifton, Passaic County, and throughout the entire state are paramount to maintaining the long-standing level of superiority in New Jersey High School Sports."
Mullahey will be honored at the Annual Awards Banquet held during the Annual Workshop at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino on Thursday, March 17, 2022, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
On a final note, Mullahey said, "I am most proud of the product we put out season after season. Our athletes and coaches are the best in the business, and they love to compete."
